Philadelphia police officer…
A Philadelphia police officers veteran has been charged with soliciting an undercover officer he thought was a teenage boy, authorities said yesterday.
The one year long investigation began after a 15-year-old Northeast Philadelphia boy told police that a man had got near to him and offered money to take nude photos, Chief Inspector Anthony DiLacqua told reporters.
The boy declined, but he later saw the exactly same man driving around the neighborhood. He copied down the license plate and contacted police.
The car belonged to Adrian Makuch, a 21-year veteran of the force.
In other actions, the board agreed on uses for most of its remaining economic-development money:
1.5 million to vouch the Army-Navy football game in Philadelphia in 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2017.

Elliott Bay Book Company, a landmark free bookstore in Seattle, published tonight that it is pulling up stakes.
After 36 years, it is going to move from Pioneer Square, downtown, to the highly urban Capitol Hill neighborhood.
Like many free bookstores, Elliott Bay has been struggling with multiple pressures chain stores, online competition and the economic crisis. Supplementary, Seattle insiders have been disappointed by downtown parking challenges, panhandlers and Dan Savage, at least its basement reading room.
A possible move has been rumored for months, and people of Seattle looks to be split about whether or not its a good idea.
While the bookstore is going to be missed in Pioneer Square, it is going also be welcomed in Capitol Hill.
Not only does the neighborhood have a strong commercial province, a lively nightlife and lots of pedestrian traffic, but it lost longtime indie Bailey/Coy Books last month, after 26 years.
